Angry birds

Postby Uros » Mon Oct 21, 2019 4:51 am

Hi! Here is another quick project. 1/144th scale PC-6 and AU23 from BPK. Only thing I changed is size of the wheels. They are way to small.

Very nice models, very well executed for 1/144.

Great work Uros!

PC-6 - what a amazing aeroplane! Years ago a few of us were at Barwon Heads airfield for a aerobatics practice weekend. Anyway, we were sharing the sky with parachutists using a ex-Army PC-6 as the drop plane. Once discharging it's payload of "meat bombs", the PC-6 would stand on its nose and go into "Beta" prop using the propeller as a speed brake and do a Space Shuttle High Key/Low Key approach and landing doing what looked like a 45 degree down line. It was so weird to see as it was such a steep and yet slow decent with the prop doing the braking. On final, he'd go into the normal prop mode, land, fill up with meat bombs and t/o - up and down again and again.

These are outstanding!!!! I really need to make time to get around through the forums more often, I seem to be missing so many good builds.

Creating such a thing in this scale is a feat. 8-)
