I bought a couple of the Mistercraft Caravelle kits and decided that since they would need a bunch of work to make them "accurate" for a real world build that I would just take both kits, cut them up, and smash them together. I had a decal problem at one point so had to change the entire paint scheme and whatever back story I had. Since I had to use other than original windows, I decided this would be an American license built Lockheed machine to serve as a quick replacement and advancement into the jet age after the Electra II accidents.
Anyway... I added a fuselage plug to extend it as much as I could and added two engines. Windows are old Micro Scale stuff from American carriers sheet. Decals are from a sheet newly arrived from Rob (didn't take me long to start using the stuff, eh? ). Paint is mainly rattle can but the finish isn't that great.. like I said, I had to change things.. it was initially going to be all NMF but when the original deals went tits up, I had to improvise. Windscreen area was a bit problematic and didn't turn out too well but it passes muster as far as I'm concerned. It'll be nice addition to the shelf I suppose.
