Hi guys,
Now I didn't originally build this, as it was given to me, (in bits....so I did do some significant re-assembly, repairs, and clean-up).
She is a little 1:48 Piper Cub named "Queenie" in a very Australian rural setting. She will definitely not win any model competition, (as the quality-of-build is average to say the least), but she has a certain charm about her that I find most pleasing and enjoyable, (and isn't that what modelling is all about).
In this setting you can almost, feel the warm breeze, hear the crows in the gum trees, and the mooing of the cows, (sort of reminds me of my local airfield at Sunbury).
I will enter in our new category just cause I like her.
TOR
PS: not sure of the history of the name or the legitimacy of the rego....but who really cares.
