My Boeing 757 Project

Postby F-27pax » Mon Jan 05, 2015 12:56 pm

Here's another couple of Boeings - I seem to have been on a Boeing rampage these past few years. But since there were only two major versions of the 757 there are only two models in the set. One kit is from Minicraft, the other is from Eastern Express and it would be hard to say which was the worst. I think that the 757 was rather an elegant looking airliner but neither kit did the original justice. Both models have Braz Models noses and tails and the -300 also has the fuselage extension plugs.

Here's the -200 with Decals de Guido and Flying Colors decals.

And here's the -300 with decals from Richard Warcup

Apart from the set of 737s this brings me right up to date with my Boeing making freny, although there are some more on the production line to be revealed in the fullnes of time.

They did come up very nice in those colour schemes

I have never had an Eastern Express kit, and from what I have read about them probably a good idea

Once again....a very nice line-up of Boeings there Leigh. I do like the 757 and it stumps me as to why it was not hugely successful here in Australia. I even remember a time when it was being talked about as a replacement for the RAAF 707 VIP aircraft, (during the "Imperial" Keating era). I have plans to do two Aussie-flavoured 757 WIFs including Qantas and Australian Airlines examples.

Nice work Leigh! They both look great. I've heard bad things about the EE kit, so you've only confirmed those things for me. My own 757 collection consists of the Minicraft kit, a Welsh Models vac/resin example, and an odd beast from Masterkit. The first two are destined to become 2 different versions of Ed Force One.

Nice work mate on both. I prefer the shorter 1 as the longer 1 looks a little awkward :)
