What a struggle this has been.

Paint has been a pain, decals botched up and waiting for a new set and finally, the engines hung too low so I ripped them off and removed a lot of material to get them to have enough ground clearance.

So shortly I will be rubbing back the whole model and repainting.

Yep, Contrails.

The decal set was also needs the engine bands lengthened to allow for the larger engines. I think they were designed for the kit engines.

I have one of these to build to Ray , it's currently up to the sanding stage . Like yours every time you do something you find another problem. good advice on the engine bands ,I might paint mine on I think .

No worries Knotty. I have another set of decals coming with longer bands supplied.

Images updated and a few more added, I had changed the file names since the PB debacle, so I have no idea of what was there before.

There I was thinking the wheels needed work, I dug them out and found I had done a better job the second time around (the old brain cells are not what they used to be)



So it is back to getting the wings and engines repainted now.

The short bits were made into a 777SP, but that got trashed when I stripped it with the wrong fluid. It was binned some time ago.

I might try it again one day if I can find 2 cheap Minicraft 777s

I guessed -100 as I think there were details of a proposed "short" 777 in the Norris and Wagner (?) Boeing book.

What fluid caused the trouble? I just usually use Mr Muscle.
