Hey everyone!
After finishing Casa 295 and dreamlifter, I wanted to build something smal an easy. I dug out this Zlin Z50. It's Brengun kit in 1/72nd scale.
Kit builds nicely and only problematic part is the canopy. That one needs some work to fit. I also cut off and repositioned control surfaces. Primer applied and a coat of white aluminium. After removing masking from canopy I noticed dust under it. I didn't want to take off the canopy to clean it. Instead I drilled a hole behind it and used micro brush taped to a bit of wire. It worked and it looks much better. Now I just need to repaint and I'm back on track.

I had some more problems with this one. Masking tape left marks on the silver paint and when I tried to clean it, I just made a bigger mess. Decided to wipe it all off and go with another scheme. I also got some more dust on the inside of the canopy. It is what it is. Photos of finished model here viewtopic.php?f=14&p=29865#p29865

LOVE THIS! I'm a fan of the Zlin-50. None in Australia. Years ago I did fly a Z-242 for some time and had a share in a Laser-200 which has very similar performance to the Z-50.

I built the Z-50M some years ago. You're of course building the Z-50L with the Lycoming AEI0-540 engine.
