Seriously great work Wally. I could never do what you've done. I'm really liking the build so far :)

G'day chaps,
after my third application of Milliput and three days of sanding the saddleback problem is rectified and all the seams are now "sweet". There are a few minor flaws that will be rectified after I throw some primer on to make sure I dont miss anything. I have left the tailplane off for now, leaving that difficult fairing job for later as don't want to break it off while I am crow-barring and hammering the wing on.
As can be seen from the pictures, the wingroots on the fuselage are larger than the centre section hole in the Heller wing. I will not cut up the wing because I don't want to ruin in it in case this project goes sour.
I will be bracing the fuselage above and across the wing join, putting some kind of floor / spar structure to fasten the wing to then fill the gaps with balsa / plastic / milliput. You can see the nose is heavy...there is a ton of lead in it, I wanted to make sure it was not a tail sitter and I knew I had to add weight to the tail as unwanted side effect of bracing the tail.
I am starting to get a bit excited about this.

In honour of Wally, his awesome plastic surgery to make ugly things beautiful and his time in PER ATC...he should be called "The Doctor".
Entirely appropriate in my humble opinion.

no name change required, maybe just the avatar :D

Dunno about "Doc" I am reminded of that annoying modeller that called himself the "Professor"
