well another new project on the bench while waiting for the tankfor the F7F.
it's an accurate minitures Avenger with a lonestar firebombing conversion.

the conversion is really sinple...leave the rear canopy and turret off and cover them with a resin piece....and saves having to do half the interior

after assembling the wings and tail i thought i'd try dry fitting them....it's a big beast indeed.

I figured this would be a big model in 1/48 scale Paul, Looks like you are off to a good start. How is the fit of the resin?

it isnt much smaller than the F7F.
the resin fits pretty well and saves me putting in half the interior,,so thats a good thing

now the wings are on permanently and engine assembled and fitted.

canopy modified to a single piece windscreen and fitted

and i learnt something this weekend..the sliding section of the cockpit is two sections and can slide separately and therefore the kit one is two piece........so i fitted the section between them....hope to get paint on it this weekend.
