This was started for another forum's Group Build be never got any legs in that time. I finally got some motivation to get on with it

The scheme it will be finished in.

I started by opening up the windows behind the main doors with templates supplied in the kit

The interior went together without fuss
Image

And the rear modified windows were filler with Testors Clear cement. They have a brownish tinge after drying which is a bit disappointing
Image

The prop was next, the kit has a twin blade prop supplied but this aircraft has a Harzell three blade prop, so I dug a donor out of the spares
Image

and modified it as best I could
Image

and the almost finished product
Image

The float struts were next, the sets needed modifying by added an extra one one the 2 mains and the forward ones also needed rejigging (no pictures yet)
Image

I added some weight in the forward fuselage just in case ( even though it sits on long floats
Image

and buttoned it up

It is headed to the paintshop to paint the roof and floats next.

Coming along nicely
You didn't say what kit that is, but the boiler plate rivets tend to make me think it's the 1/72 Airfix kit

Yes, it is Airfix Graham.

Forgot there are others in 1/72, I also have a Hobbycraft kit somewhere as well.

Also interested in the Template for the larger rear pax window, is that something you made yourself?

Nice work mate. Are the decals from Arctic Decals? I have their set and plan on doing this one day. I'll be following closely :)

The template is included in the kit Graeme, as are windscreen/window masks for both Airfix and Hobbycraft kits

Yes is does, I need to do some masking and get them painted.

There was a bit of putty required on them.

I lost the mojo with this build again for a while but now this one is getting very close to the finish line.

I had a spurt of motivation about a month ago and got the final assembly going.

And then the decals went on and masking came off

I just need to repaint the top of the wing as the pint got some sort on contamination on it and it will be done.
