1:72 horrid little Spitty refurb

Postby tor lives » Sun May 18, 2014 11:25 am

Hi guys,
In an effort to get my mind of recent real world events in my life, I have retreated to the sanctuary of the model room for some "plastic therapy".
Here is what I have been tinkering with...it's a very ancient, horrid little banged-up and battered 1:72 Spitty, (not even sure of what brand it is...Revell perhaps???). I have commenced the refurb on her using Airfix 1:72 Spitty parts donated by two generous AMI members.

As can be seen, much work is still yet to be done but a variation of below is what I am aiming for when she is complete...yep another civvy racer!!! :D

G'day Knotty,
She won't be any competition winner that's for sure, but I will get immense satisfaction and a feeling of accomplishment if I can take her from her current condition to a displayable standard.

Civilising these war horses sure brings out their beauty! Great subject choice - never seen this Spitty racer before.
