At the recent meet and make session at Models and Hobbies 4 U I sat down with Brock to build something with him. So I picked another 1/72 Airfix Spitfire to build. They go together reasonably well and you can turn out a decent model with it.The only problem with the kit is that it has the wrong rudder for NFO. It has a rounded rudder whereas I needed a pointy rudder. So I cut off the rounded one and replaced it with a spare pointy rudder from an AZ Spitfire kit. This is hopefully what it'll look like when it's done.

This thing now has a coat of primer on it so this was taken a couple of days ago. Fixed a few things up so maybe another coat of primer over the weekend. Might even get it in white primer if all goes well

Got it's first coat of orange today. Wearing sunglasses is advisable

Bit of a while since the last update. This is where it's at so far. I forgot about painting under the canopy so you can see bare plastic under it so this ain't a category winner that's for sure. All the smaller bits are good to go so a couple of touch ups around the anti glare panel and it's decal time.

Sure is a colourful one, nice orange there

Looks good Paul, pity about the instrument panel combing. Can't recall how many times I have been caught out not painting under the canopy before glueing it down!
