OK seeing I have no idea when the 'bus is leaving for Brisvegas and therefore no idea when or if I have any Airfix 732s in the "Stash" there and after finding only two on-line in Australia and UnZud but because of the Scottish heritage did not want to pay way too much for something I may already have I did a comprehensive search overseas as I would really like to take part in this "CB" and luckily I found a few that would be cheaper landed than the cost of those found on-line in Australia and UnZud and so just having pressed the button to pay for them I thought it timely to start a Build Thread (even though they are yet to arrive - touch wood).

Now to the particular subject - well not locked down yet but obviously Ansett related which could mean :

When ordered (unless someone else has tabs on it and does it first)

or

In Service (probably a bit boring although AA now do an amazing Decal for it)

or

a Whif in the "Flag" :

or "Starmark" scheme (as on the last 733s) :

See what happens in between now and when they arrive I suppose.

It will be nice to see one of these schemes done Rob.

I did not know AA had done an Ansett decal. In fact, I only thought Kurt was doing detail stuff like doors and windows, etc. I will have to have a peek at his site again.

Shouldn't write this as I'm going to cop a lot of Flak but just checked on the delivery of the kits and the estimate is the end of ...

October!

OK seeing the other kit/s were going to take so long to arrive (see the fine print above) I looked around again and (even though it cost more) decided to buy one closer to home and today it arrived :

So next step is to reread all of the other articles as to what needs to be done to correct it (from memory replace Cockpit with Daco Cockpit, 40 thou wider Fuselage, order one or more of those Mexican Wheel Well sets, lengthen the Engines, etc, etc) and then stop fondling the plastic and get to it!

OK about to cut some plastic on the Engines first but just wanted to verify the consensus on two issues.

1. Cut just forward of the Thrust Reverser "Strakes" and Lengthen by 4 mm?

2. Fatten Pylons by 20 thou card both sides of each Pylon?

(Reference is Viking's builds over on BM.)
