Just a few more progress pics now my camera is fixed
After using a full roll of Tamiya masking tape i now have the wings / wing leading edges - control surfaces / wing fairings / nose cone - anti glare / and the bare metal underside done
For the bare metal i used Mr Color 8 silver followed by a light coat of Alclad Chrome then to get rid of any flaky speckles in the silver finish i rubbed in Tamiya weathering master light gun metal which also toned it down a little as i didn't want a mirror finish i still have to make some minor adjustments to the anti glare bring the black a little closer to the red stripe and the red stripe a little closer to the silver around the nose

So to get this bird finished i have to paint the engines clear coat everything then decals / stairs / wheels / antennas / lights / another clear coat and finally weathering

Thanks

Very nice lee, I have an Airfix (MPC) kit on the bench at the moment and it looks nothing like yours detail wise.

Looks fantastic. I did notice that you applied the cheat line then painted the fuselage and wings so did you seal the decal first and if so what did you use. I have built a fair few Ansett red delta liveries and the waynI do it is that I paint white then photo copy decal and stick,it on with blue tac then mask the top half and paint the silver, take some time so I gather your method quick. What colour did you use to paint the tail.
