Looking good. I always wanted to attempt a water base, did a nice Rufe
once and really wanted it moored in a lagoon. Definitely adds to the already
great build!---John

Thanks, guys, the base was a bit of an experiment. It will do the job for this build.

Windows masked again

and the tailplanes fitted and a splash of primer added

Been a bit preoccupied lately for making updates so here is one.

I was not happy with the way the clear inserts settled so I pulled off the masking and puttied and sanded them.

Remasked and they looked a lot better

Attempt 2 at masking and spraying the cheat line in progress

Also masked and sprayed the float 'wells'

Might run a wash in there to dirty it up a bit.

The hull also got a spray, last one I hope

I used Tamiya chrome silver which I will dirty up with some dry brushing I think

Everything masked for the hull spray

and the masking is off

Some touchups to do followed by the decals

Finally, I could not resist a test fit of the major assemblies, still have the install the wing supports when the wings go on

and the props need some paint as well

Awesome!

Just in time for the Britmodeller deadline too. :D

P.S. EBU had a turret nose. :( (research wasn't the strong point of Hawkeye's original proprietor)
