Round 2 of masking and painting complete.


Masking removed, touchups needed and now I need to sort out the doors and wheels

Time to tidy up the last small parts that will go on the airframe. Plenty of mold marks and flash to clean up. I have also replaced the kit pitot tubes with brass tube replacements


The main gear has been painted and MLG wheels attached, the pitots are also painted and a couple of more antenna disks and the HF horns added



The props will be next for paint as well some of the underside antennas

Some painting of the props and gear doors finished, still to be fitted. 

Decaling complete.

It is done, I had some issues with the decals. They went down perfectly but I had to rejig some of them to suit the model. In particular and the starboard side there is some sort of sensor/intake which takes the place of a window. I did not get it in the correct position so I had to be creative with where some of the window decals went. Also the Navy title on the Starboard side of the nose had to be moved behind the the Navy crest.

I am happy with the result.
