Thanks Knotty..
A little more work today...put some decals on Little Nellie, and managed to save the Mustang from an impact test with the nearest wall..

I managed to solve the issues with the panel lines by brush painting white into them, then rubbing the entire airframe back with micromesh. The white is a very slightly off-white (Southern Cross Mustangs states the colour was actually "Broken White", which my google-fu tells me can be anything from a very slight tint of pink to a more creamy colour.) In a happy conicidence, I have a couple of old jars of Gunze white, which are not quite as stark as what they used to be. I quite like the result :) Still, my next 1/72 Mustang will be more than likely the Tamiya kit..

Coming along nicely Damo.

Mobil Mustang almost ready for decals..

However, disaster! Upon removing the cockpit masking, I discovered the paint had been stripped, and the joysick had broken. A bit annoyed by that.. :(

Yep.....what Paul said!!!. A really attractive and unusual model. Nice one Damo :D
I am looking forward to see the Mustang when she is complete.
Ray

PS: here is my "Nelly".....she is a Matchbox 1:72 Norseman and I got her "as is" from a deceased estate collection:

She ain't an award-winner by any means but she has a certain charm so I will leave her as is. She will also be part of the A/CAM Model Expo display this year.
