Cheers!

787 wings and engines are white (except when the airline decides they want a different colour on the engine cowls)

Thank you Ray and Scott!
White wings will make it easyer to paint.

Dots on my decal sheet are transparent. Everything else is the same. I'll try to fix what i can. If I can get the big decals on.
Cheers!

I flew on this in February last year from Brisbane to Perth, and like you had always thought the wings were white, but on that bird at least, the wings are a very pale grey, sitting and looking out at them with the sun overhead I could clearly see the difference between the wings and the Engines which were white, didn't take a photo, because the window tint kept going darker every time I tried to change it, seems to be some automatic thing, they don't have window shades at all.

This is the photo I was looking at. There is a smal difference in colour betwen engines and wings.

After some thinking, I mixed paints to get a very light shade of gray for the wings. Fuselage is sprayed with spray can pure white, but it looks more like off white. The diference betwen wings and fuselage is realy subtle with this the paint stage is finished. I'll paint leading edges after I apply the decals.

I have the big decals on. In case anybody was wondering if they fit... They don't. Also, decal film is realy thin and britle. I will have a lot of paintig to do. I sprayed two thick coats of gloss lacquer to smoothen out everything. When it dries I will sand it and paint where there is no decal.

Wow, there are some gaps underneath, a lot of painting required I think! I wonder if they even used a kit to test the decals on when creating it?
