I gotta say I have always been intrigued and fascinated by the Israelis and the ingenuity, initiative, creativity, and effectiveness they have always demonstrated. Let's face it, politics aside, they know how to kick arse.
This has led me to my next 707 modelling project.....it's going to be an "Aer Lingus" 707 that is not what it seems .
She will look something like this.....just your normal, every day, run-of-the-mill Aer Lingus 707 right....or is it???.
Here is her back-story:
By virtue of the above (unverified) information my "Aer Lingus" 707 will be somewhat unique in that she will be sporting a refuelling boom hanging off her arse identifying her as the Israeli Air Force tanker she actually is, (those sneaky Israelis ).
She will be 1:144 with a refuelling boom sourced from a Revell KC-135 kit, and decals will come from 26. My only quandary will be what rego/tail number to put on her, as there are no known photos of her, (if in fact she did actually exist), and I got a funny feeling the Israeli embassy won't' confirm one way or another. I am thinking perhpas 4X-007 , but I am open to (clever) suggestions .
