Another I am working on is the Falcon 20 to be built as a RAAF machine that I worked back in the late 1980s.

The kit has its issues, the biggest being the wonky wing roots, cabin window lines and windscreen slot. I started with the wing root.

One of the wing locating slots had to be also moved down a tad

The engines were assembled and test fitted and the windscreen slot attended to

The cabin windows were installed and filled, I am using decals so I don't have to worry about the wonky windows

The cockpit parts were assembled and painted, not that I should have bothered since due toa blob of sprue glue inside the windscreen I will be painting the windscreen panels.

The fuselage was glued together and filled and wings and fences attached

The gear parts were tidied up (in progress here) and attached

Some priming was done to check seams and previous rough sanding.

After adding some antennas and anticol beacons it was time for some paint. I primed it in the lower grey colour and began masking

When the masking came off I noticed the grey/white demarcation was higher on one side than the other, I had line them up on the engine slots. Guess what they are not level
Image

So I had the drop the right side slot by about a mm which meant a repaint!

After sanding some of the paint back and fixing a couple of other issues, round 2 of masking and painting was completed with engines and demarcation pretty level

Some more masking and painting to come for the forward fuselage and engines
