Motivated by Ray's resumption of his 747 builds, I have now pulled a long dormant project off the "curtain rail of doom", and recommenced work on it.
It's the Revell 1:144 747-400 converted to a 747-300 of the Saudi Royal Flight.
Most of the conversion work is done, including engine change-out, wing-tip mods, and the fitment of the large sat com hump on the upper fuselage, usually only seen on USAF Boeing E-4s, and a couple of other VIP/Head of State 747s).
I have realized however that there are some things I am just going to have to live, such as the notorious Revell 747-400 misshaped front end, and the 747-400 wing roots.
Anyway, thanks to Ray for the motivation (and the sat com hump, which he supplied).
Here is the situation so far.
Stay tuned to see if it ever gets finished....I will be more surprised than anyone if that ever happens
