Ray, got half an eye on the two Transport Wings kits, along with maybe one of the 1/72 KC-135 kits. I'm really after something I can turn into a Qantas 707 - can I get there from there?

Bummer. I figured these KC-135 kits were based off the same moulds, and were possibly in the ballpark for conversion. Haven't seen the Heller 707 around for a decent price (ie, one that I can afford) for years.
G'day Kev, Any one of the four 1:72 E-3 kits you can see in the first photos would be suitable for a Qantas Boeing 707-338C as they are simply the Heller 707 mould with the windows filled in, (and some extra bits added that are E-3-specific). You simply combine the Heller/Airfix kit with a Hawkeye 1:72 Qantas 707 decal sheet, (be it the "V-jet" or "Flying Kangaroo" schemes...Hawkeye do both). The good thing is that the Hawkeye decals come complete with all windows. TOR
